The numbers are all over the place.
14.5 point underdog according to the bookies.
Sagarin says 19.
Massey says 9 (with a 19% punchers chance of an upset).
Love the great job Mercer did with the schedule -- of 9 nonconference games 7 were against Georgia universities. And the 2 other games were played in Macon.
Great first half, and a competive game most of the way. We were still tied at the 9 minute mark.
In looking at future games, one of the first things I'm going to look for is if the other team has a skilled big. If they do -- we're in trouble.
Bender broke us.
What do you think about Antonio Spencer not seeing any minutes? Sure Peterson and Larue are better on the offensive end, but I would give Tone a shot when we are being eaten alive.
Wingman Good point. He didn't play in last game either, and only 5 and 8 in the games before that.
What about not playing Nate Springs too?
We're not at near where we wanna be, yet...but I would say we definitely should be able to win 5-7 conference games. If Mercer wasn't as good and veteran as a Mercer, we would have pulled away after the initial onslaught.
I haven’t seen enough of Springs to have much of an opinion, but I think Tone is our best shot of neutralizing these big guys due to his size and strength.
Wingman i dont think we have any options of neutralizing bigs or we would have done it.
