I was entertained for most of the game... then the patented Owls Fade with 5 minutes left and we just let it slip away. Although its tedious to watch with 2-3 minutes to go you think AAR might have tried to clamp down on defense, and foul before letting the Hatters drain the shot clock. Maybe there is a good reason I am not a coach,, because Stetson was 16-18 from the line and probably would have buried us even further. However I think its good to show your kids that there is no giving up. It's a 6 point game with 4 mins left, The lead got a little bigger and we seemed to just concede it by letting them run the clock down,
Good news is our turnovers and foul counts were in check, and that helped watchabilty of the game. I also liked the tempo and enjoyed Peterson's dunk-fest. That one hander is one of the most exciting slams I am seen from an Owl in quite some time. I wish I saw that one in person.
I liked when Terrell dribbled past everyone for those open layups. Down the stretch I thought he tried to do too much himself. He tried to shoulder too much of the "Burden". I thought we could have gotten some better shot opporunities on some of those trips.
The last 3 series we have done better in game 2, It could be our time now the pressure is off and assuming there are only 3 games left for us, we have locked up the play in game.
