I really think y'all are underrating the navy job. You're right he's not gonna win 10 games there and be a playoff contender or bring in top recruiting classes. But it's fucking NAVY. It's probably one of the 15 most prestigious schools in the country. It will be a big raise.
Is winning CUSA and going to the carrier bowl, or winning the Commander and Chief trophy a better accomplishment? Is beating Jax State with ksu a bigger deal than winning the army navy game?
And is Kennesaw dropping any big nil bags y'all are aware of? We have a big enough fan base to have a not super lively message board, idk if we're gonna have a monster nil collective anytime soon.
Navy will atleast always recruit itself to some pretty good players, even with it's restrictions. Unless we start winning in CUSA early and often, recruiting here is going to be an uphill battle too.
Editing to mention another perk of navy. Constantly re-recruiting your own players has got to be hard for coaches. Navy doesn't have to play that game. A player goes to navy and thier pretty much stuck there. If both ksu and navy right now are jobs where player development matters a lot because neither are recruiting machines, atleast navy players won't get poached.
