chandler-wright we shot worse from inside than out. Our offense is meh we just have guys who can shoot it from deep. "Playing hard" on a meh coached team wont win in crunch time vs solid teams.

I'm not going to pat the guys on the ass for playing it close and losing by 14. This was a winnable game. I don't care if it's vs. Indiana or Mississippi Valley State

KSU had 1 more assist than IU
KSU had 3 more steals than IU
KSU had 3 less turnovers than IU
KSU: 13 assists and 8 turnovers

KSU kept it close the whole game it just got away from us a little in the final minutes.

KSU missed some 2 pointers they would normally hit, but the Owls mainly lived from the 3-point line, because that is what the defense gave us.

We a ready for conference play, with Peterson back in the lineup.

KingOwlLegacy team rankings has us going 9-9 and I’m going to say we go either 10-8 or 11-7 like you said. I’d love to say we shock the nation and win the asun but three throws and lapses of we forget how to shoot will cost us

I split the season into quarters (plus final 2 games as wins for us), and assigned a record to each pack of 4 games, and landed on 11-7, but I agree with you and 10-8 is my second guess.

In the D1 era KSU has hit .500 4 times; twice with legendary coach Tony Ingle and twice with Coach of the Year (although not with us) Al Skinner. Exceeding .500 (10-8) would be a nice milestone to reach. Not my answer; just a comment.

The Owls are better than they have been in the D1 era, but the ASUN conference is looking stronger and deeper than ever.
Liberty remains tough . FGCU has returned to life with a new coach, Jacksonville U is building on last year’s success. Most surprising to me is Queens who has been accumulating wins in their first season after moving up from D2. Lipscomb will give us fits too.
Looking at the remaining competitors, I don’t see many easy wins.

Should be an exciting year for the conference. I am in the 10-8 camp due to the competition, but I think we have upside potential.

Wingman i was debating 11-7 and 10-8, but ultimately decided to give us the benefit of the doubt.

Alternate question...could this team have won the league last year with lesser competition? Our kenpom rating is very comparable. NET I think is much better

Last nights 10 point 🙂 loss to Indiana was just about what NCAA Net expected. Indiana rose from 22 to 21 while KSU dropped 164 to 165.

While I'm at it a couple changes from the last time I looked:

I really enjoyed our 1 day on the top of the heap. 🙂
