bb_fan I agree with bb fan's post, but I want to look at it from another perspective. Is there any upside for Liberty by playing 1 game?
Recall the the Liberty - UNA series was delayed for 2 days because of bad weather that did not allow UNA to travel. So if they played a 2 game series between Bellarmine and Liberty, Liberty would have:
4 games in 6 days, and if they go to the finals of the ASUN tourney 7 games in 14 days
With the 1 game series, Liberty plays:
3 games in 6 days or potentially 6 games in 14 days
So if you put your Liberty clown face on, how much of an advantage would it be to have one less game? bb_fan would be in a better position than me to answer.
I think the TV exposure is the main driver for all this, which maybe both teams welcome.
