KingOwlLegacy I talked to him last Saturday and he said he should be cleared for this weekend. His averages don’t look great but his percentages look really good for a freshman sitting behind a guard like burden

Give us a checkmark for “finding a way to win” but we had some seriously bad plays in the second half. I guess I can pat the team on the back for playing well in the first half and amassing a 16 point lead at halftime making the mountain just high enough that Stetson couldn’t top it.

For the record, any conference road win against even the most average opponent is a good win..

I think all the physicality and fight took something out of us tonight. This was a battle.

The bounce back Saturday will be interesting vs. a struggling FGCU team that I think we are better than...or at least currently playing much better than.

OwlsfaninWoodstock probably wouldn't have been smart to foul until it got closer to when he took the shot. When did he actually shoot?

If i was gonna foul, it would be with 5 seconds left or less with no chance of a shooting motion.

That play by Demond going for the steal, and ultimately knocking it out for a throw in turned out to be huge in OT. They ended up throwing it right to Youngblood for 2 on the side out. I think this was the same sequence....?

Next stop is Ft. Myers for a meeting with FGCU. Zach Anderson is back in the Eagles’ lineup but in yesterday’s game FGCU managed to get a slim 4 point victory over Jacksonville State, a team with only 1 conference victory. The Eagles put on the board a mere 55 points in that win.

The last 5 games for FGCU, even though a couple of them were without the aforementioned Anderson, have been mostly unimpressive except for an expected beat down of UNF. The stretch included a loss to Austin Peay, big losses to Bellarmine and EKU and an OT win against another laggard Central Arkansas.

Will Saturday be the day the Eagles break out of their slump, or will the Owls winning wave continue?

I would like nothing more that to get a W in Alico Arena.

At 4 games, the Owls have the longest current winning streak in the ASUN.

All 4 of the major rating sites agree that FGCU and KSU are evenly matched -- but FGCU is just a little bit better. And that's on a neutural court -- FGCU gets the "home court advantage" which many believe is supposedly worth 3 points.

So the computers all say FGCU gets the win. We'll see.

bb_fan FGCU is having a good season, but the most recent games look to be sub par. I wish I could look under the hood to see how the ratings account for that.
