Wingman The Owls got swept by Lipscomb this weekend and are currently in a 3 way tie for 8th in the standings and 6th in RPI. 2 series remain against last place UNA and first place FGCU. We will need a sweep this weekend and some good luck to remain in contention for a slot in the ASUN tournament.
Wingman The win over GA Tech puts us at 5th in the ASUN for RPI. My real concern is making it to the conference tournament. We need to win as many of the last 6 conference games as we can.
KingOwl Wingman Yep. Getting swept twice and giving away the Liberty game might be killers. Need to absolutely sweep this weekend and then win at least one next weekend.
chandler-wright KingOwl eastern Kentucky winning the liberty series and a fgcu sweep of unf would also be massive. And any help from lipscomb jax state and Stetson would be icing on the cake as they play the teams one game above or one game below us. Granted this is all reliant on a ksu sweep this weekend
Wingman KingOwl except we were at the wrong end of the broom There may be a slim possibility of the making the tournament but to be a realist, it’s not going to happen.
BurialGround Pretty disappointing. This team has some good pieces to work with going into next season, I don't think it would take very much for us to be at or near the top of the ASUN, but it's still disappointing getting swept by a team as bad as UNA, and we weren't even really that competitive. We were truly one of the worst teams in the entire country this past weekend.
KingOwl BurialGround Yep, it was embarrassing. A much better showing last night against FSU even with the loss
KingOwl chandler-wright I think we'll see more enter but I don't think we'll be losing any big pieces
chandler-wright KingOwl looking at the roster and who aall and how they played I’d say we will see at least 5-7 more in the portal
