Oh yeah they definitely could be sitting at .500 right now. They are going through some injuries as of late, so that could help our defense hang with their offense early on. However, with what I think will be a struggle for our offense to sustain any kind of long drives, our defense will begin to crumble and the beat down will begin.

And that's why. Poor discipline again and again + the inability to kick a field goal unbelievably costs us another game we had no business losing. And it's the kind of game that once again makes me doubt that this is the right coaching staff to take us into the FBS. Pitiful.

BurialGround lack of discipline crushed us. The unsportsmanlike to keep their drive alive when they scored 14 and the offside to keep the game winning drive alive were such bad moments when the defense largely played well.

Lack of passing game and being one dimensional on offense is nauseating. 44 passing yards after a game with zero passing yards. Ran less than 50 plays for the entire game. KSU better hit the portal and find a QB that can throw it and some OL that can pass block. It’s gonna be a rough few years for the Owls. Especially when the staff is hell bent on running that same crap triple option offense. It may look different because of formations but it’s still the same triple option that just won’t work. I am still a big Coach Bo fan and think coach K is the right OC but they need to make wholesale changes with some staff and players. Just awful football to watch and I’m sure sucks to play.

We have played dummy football all year. We 100% dumbed our way to this loss.

With the challenges already in place, there isn't any room for being stupid.

That said, at least we proved we could stay on the field with FBS talent. Small victories.

Sam Houston may be in FBS conference but they are not an FBS caliber team. Not even close. Owls couldn’t move the ball or score any second half points against that awful team. Being one dimensional is easy for these college DC to defend. Man up one outside, throw up the middle finger, pack the box and dare KSU to throw it. It worked. No resemblance of a college level offense and zero second half points. Is what it is at this point but new blood in box, sideline and on field is a must moving forward. Coach Bo and Coach K will earn their salary this offseason.

Sam has been playing good programs close all year..They have decent young FBS talent, they just don't know how to win. Today we gave them a win.

Don't get me wrong, this offense needs a lot of talent and work, but the defense is competitive, but infuriatingly undisciplined at the worst possible moments.

The game went the way I expected. I knew we'd play them close because that's what the Owls do. They play to their opponent.

It sucks we couldn't close the game and it sucks that kicking continues to haunt us. If Conor was the player he was last year, our record would have a couple more wins on it at least.

This season has indeed sucked, but the bright side I take is we were in every game.
