I wouldn't look to deeply into the Lincoln game when making a prediction for Sam Houston. The only consistent thing I've seen all year for KSU is that they play to their competition level. Furman is probably better than Sam Houston and that game went to the wire.
The lack of passing yards had less to do with Bryson and more to do with play calling. It's hard to get it any rhythm with only 6 attempts. Didn't help that there were two drops and Foster running a lazy route on another. I really hope Bo and Klenakis open the play book some. What's the point in this being a practice year if you don't actually practice passing?
It's been a rough year. Changing from triple option is hard enough, but doing it with redshirt roulette makes it nearly impossible to get that team cohesion. Offensive line has it the hardest. That's the one group that takes by far and away the longest to develop. Coach Prime is learning the hard way that you can't just bring in a bunch of guys and expect them to gel in one season.
So yeah, I hope we all can just be patient for now. It's not fun, but firing coaches and trying to hit the transfer portal for new guys will set us even further back.
With all that said, I think the Sam Houston game will be competitive until we have some random snap or two go over our QBs head.
