This first game is Tuesday Nov. 2 when the Owls host Oakwood University. I had never heard of Oakwood University, so I had to look it up.
Oakwood is a HBCU located in Huntsville, AL and has an enrollment of about 1400 students. They have competed in NAIA for the past 2 season. Prior to joining the NAIA, Oakwood completed in the USCAA (US Collegiate Athletic Association). Their mascot is the Ambassadors.
Last year, Oakwood's record was 4-22. They could be the easiest cupcake the Owls will face this year.
Best case scenario for the Owls would be to get a lead early, try out various lineup configurations and give the walk-ons a chance to play.
