Recruiting: We need a reality check.

For all of the Coach Bo fanboys who said that Bo is the one to lead us into FBS. We are 166 in recruiting, which is the worst in CUSA and would be at the bottom of our old FCS conference. I told you all Bo cannot recruit and we need to be looking elsewhere.

jones682 Kennesaw State does not have the resources yet to be able to compete at the division one level for big-time recruits. Once the University builds the new facilities/upgrades N.I.L offers they will be able to finish TOP 50 or so.

jones682 were tied for last in the country at 166 on 247 because they haven't updated our page. They have 4 of our signees as 3 stars.

On3 has 122 in the country and 6th in CUSA. Not a great class but realistically how well do we think Kennesaw should be able to recruit right now?

For comparison they have state at 127 who are more established in fbs. Southern is at 95. Jax state is 129.

The_bagman There are 40 FCS teams ahead of us which include UNA, EKU, Campbell. It is no excuse.

Top 50? So we'll be competing against ACC, lower-tier Big Ten, and Big 12 schools?

But it's true that we don't have the resources or facilities to compete in the C-USA. It's hard to win the recruiting battles we need to win.

BurialGround Then why we have 40 FCS teams ahead of us including AP. Our budget is twice the amount as theirs.

We actually have 5 3 stars out of out 15 signed. Christian Moss is a 3 star transfer.

The main page at 247 says we signed zero 3 stars and only 13 signed..

The 167 rank is the default "we aren't paying attention" rank.

Jones would rather bash Bo than do 2 minutes of easy research..

Oldarmydude You don’t think recruiting is important? Do you think it is OK to be bypassed by FCS schools when you are an FBS school now? I am bring up topics that we should discuss as KSU fans. If you think other schools fans are not taking about recruiting, you are delusional.

jones682 i’m trying to give you actual facts of why KSU and coach. Bo are struggling in recruiting. Yes, we have bigger budgets than the FCS schools but guess what some of those FCS schools have nicer football facilities in Ksu

Kennesaw recruiting rankings -

ON3 - 8th in Conference (Ahead of Jax State and NMSU), 115th in nation.
11 - 3 star recruits.

247 - 9th in Conference (Ahead of NMSU), 130 in nation.
7 - 3 star recruits.

Including 2 3 star and a 4 star transfer.

I think this is a pretty good class, especially with no coordinators for much of the period AND they aren't playing for anything this first year if I'm not mistaken.

Kmase14 130 out of 134 FBS teams. Damage control is real until we are 1-11 at the end of the season. We can do better.

jones682 looking at it objectively we really can't do much better. We don't have the facilities right now, we're brand new to the FBS and we aren't eligible to compete for championships yet. That's a tough recruiting pitch right now.

When schools like James Madison, Liberty, and even Jax State, they already had better facilities or new facilities on the horizon once they jumped to FBS.

We'll get better, but KSU probably jumped a couple years quicker than they wanted to do so they could avoid paying that FBS fee.

HootyHooKSU We don't have the worst facilities in FBS. FIU, SHSU, NMSU etc have worse football facilities than us. MTSU football operation center looked way worse than ours until they just built a new one. I don't want to hear that we are brand new to FBS when Jax St just won a bowl game and there budget is 12M less then ours. We need to due better.

Did Jax St had better facilities or a bigger stadium.
