Well after last week's defensive debacle, we can only hope for better defense this week. Maybe we'll run a zone defense, instead of our typical man to man. It seems that every single team we play is out to get us, and shoots lights out no matter what. It's crazy. At every home game, except Stetson. Even Queens shot well. Wonder if we see any adjustments to the lineup to help defensively. Sharp of Austin Peay may not play, nursing some sort of injury. Austin Peay also has a 7'3 352 LB center, but he is a bust. They have Hansel Enmanuel, the one handed player who provides minutes, albeit averaging 2 PPG. Sai Witt had 30 for AP in their win this past weekend.
Lipscomb is obviously without their best player they lost for the year in Ogancevic. They're very guard heavy led by Boyd and Pruitt. Of course they have their redheads, two of them at that that are solid players. Lipscomb has a pattern of recruiting redheads for some reason haha. 43 points from two of their guards this past weekend, so half their points. I think Demond can take on McCormack. I would love to see TB, RJ, Holt, King, and Demond starting. I'd even throw Rongie in for Demond. You get that big body at the 2 in RJ who will use his body. Very athletic kid--a Bama signee for a reason. We need to light a fire under some of these guys, not a punishment. Frustrating as a fan to see lackadaisical defense, wish we'd run a zone to change some things up, but what do I know, I'm only a fan, right?
Looking forward to the games this week.
