Final Regular Season games @FGCU, Stetson & Queens

I hope we move up to the 7-8 game and then play Stetson in the next game (assuming Stetson remains a 2 seed).

But if we stay in the 9-10 game we can still play Stetson if they move up to the number 1 seed. They are 1 game behind EKU but they hold the tiebreaker.

So anything is possible at the moment.

Stetson has been a good rivalry for KSU over the years and it would be fitting for them to be the ones to end our association with the ASun in basketball.

Big win tonight. Sherman is playing great and our defense is improving.

I enjoyed the Sherman show.

I did not enjoy watching our 15 point lead evaporate. It seemed like we had a lot of turnovers over that 6 minute or so stretch. FGCU didn’t do themselves any favors with their turnovers in the closing minutes.

Next up is Stetson who lost to Queens and are without Senior forward Josh Smith… a win is possible there.

Shout out to LaRue as well. He stepped up big off the bench and honestly should get more minutes in the next two games.

HootyHooKSU I am surprised in a way that Larue didn’t get more minutes all year. He has been effective when he plays. If I were to be critical he did get seat on the defensive end a couple of time vs FGCU.

Wingman I've been wondering all year why he doesn't get just 8-10 minutes per game. He's contributed in each of his few appearances, including last night.

KSU can move up to a 6 seed (and avoid the play in round) by winning their last 2 games AND if North Alabama loses their last 2 games.

We must beat Queens. If we lose to Queens and either Bellarmine or UCA win the rest of their games, we don’t make the ASUN tournament

It’s either a play-in game or no game for the Owls.

Per the ASUN website we have clinched a berth in the conference tournament.

If I understand and interpret the tiebreakers correctly we will end up in the range on 7th to 10th seed and have a play-in game.

Before the season and early in the season I never thought we would be here.

I still look at the Queens game as a must win to get some momentum going prior to the tournament.

Positive thought. If you’re gonna have a Cinderella run, why not beat #1 out the gate and would rather play EKU on a Tuesday night than in the championship with a crazier crowd……

Negative thought - we’ll lose to UCA again…
