Between the ASUN and CUSA only 3 teams are playing postseason games. 2 are from ASUN.

Austin Peay played in the CIT Wednesday and lost to Alabama A&M.

Stetson takes on #1 UCONN 3/22.

WKU takes on #2 Marquette 3/22.

Barring a massive upset its looking like a clean sweep out of the post season for CUSA and ASUN.

A bit surprised a CUSA team didn't get a post season invite to another tournament (although they could have and turned it down).

Kmase14 Alabama A&M has a 12-22 record. I wonder how they got into any tournament. However they knocked off Austin Peay, a team that played well down the stretch, so I guess the showed that they belong.

Wingman Yeah, I don't understand. I feel like many teams must turn down these post season consolation tournaments. You hear about some teams turning down NIT invites, which a school like us would accept. But I'm sure these smaller ones are maybe more of a burden on a school than benefit so they get more denials.

Wingman The tourney was suspended when Covid hit, this is the revival. They planned on a 16 team tourney but ended up with only 9 teams. This created an unusual path to the final four -- 1 region has 4 teams, 2 regions have 2 teams, and the remaining "region" has 1 team which was placed into the final four without playing any games. This is the tourney that charges the schools $30,000 for the privilege of hosting a home game although I wouldn't be surprised if that was waived or reduced this year due to the apparent lack of interest in participating. Or perhaps the size of the field was limited to the number of schools that were willing to pay for a home game.

Quincy Ademokoya is now in the Portal.
6'6 SG - avg 10.1ppg and started 21 games avgeraged 24 minutes, he was our top 3 point shooter shooting 35.1%.

Q was a solid player, but if we're going to run the Pettway Offense he needs players that fit his system more. Hopefully Q lands somewhere where he starts in a small conferense or comes off the bench for a big program as a solid 6th man for a team that should make a tourney run.

KSU looks like they updated the roster for spring on their website and Q and Jamel have been taken off.

KingOwl Bronny James. Perfect fit -- shot 27% from 3 this year. He might even earn more playing time with the step down in competition to the CUSA. Not in the portal yet but expected to do so.

Marcus Whitlock as entered the portal per Verbalcommits.com. He did not play for the Owls in his 1 year on the program. I do know if he was injured or redshirting.

After winning the ASUN championship, Stetson has a number of players in the portal, including Jalen Blackmon, Steffan Svenson, and Aubin Gaterese. I wonder what's going on there.

Would think that does it for transfers that want to transfer out of KSU after a couple weeks of the portal being open. We have 2 scholarships to fill.
The Owls have been linked to a few big men and a guard. Would think we're looking for another big man maybe even 2. Sherman and Gordon are the only 2 big men on our roster with 2 coming in our high school class.
Could also look to add a Guard or possible small forward that can shoot the 3 ball well.

But for me another big man (preferably a big PF or C) feels like a must. Even if they didn't fit in our regular system well, we're gonna need a big man that can match up with some of the bigs we'll come across in CUSA. Like a Cole LaRue with some more upside. I will say I did think there was a chance Cole stayed or Pettway would consider keeping LaRue for this reason. If we come across a big center of forward next year, we could run into some trouble with how our roster is.

Whitlock was hurt all year. I'm hoping Holt enters the portal...can't see him playing too much next year.

KingOwl who’s taking his minutes? Especially with Quincy gone?
Holt was our best defender and highest 3pt%. I’m a bit of a Holt Stan but I’d like to see them work him in the offense more. He was very conservative with his shot selection.

Kmase14 we'll have to see who we bring in. Holt has one year left and unless he's a hands down better option than Wooley, McKenzie, Seals etc...then I'd rather have the young kids. Next year is shaping up right now as a build up year
