How does this affect non power 5 schools? Will players get taxed or unionize? Please discuss.

HooKnows Right now this affects power 5 schools if I understand the ruling correctly. So if you are a player who can choose either to be a bench player at a P5 school or be a starter at a mid-major, would you be more inclined to ride the bench for 4 years and get paid?
Might this drain the mid major talent pool?

Hard to say, but I think as a former athlete you don't go into a program that invites you in thinking you'll be warming the bench. They think they'll crack the lineup at some point. I'm concerned about them cutting non revenue sports to help pay the costs. This is going to change college athletics drastically, imho.

I'm taking all the news about this with a grain of salt until it's done and we have more details. Everything I've seen still sounds like schools colluding and price fixing to me who is not an expert.

NCAA ends all transfer rules further enabling the money grab free for all.

I wasn’t opposed to having some guidelines around transferring, but I didn’t like the seemingly inconsistent enforcement of them.

As I have said before it doesn’t seem right to have an athlete play at 3 or more schools during their college career. I believe the NCAA has lost control of their ability to govern athletics and the courts have taken over.
