Obviously Massey and KenPom ratings aren’t GREAT indicators yet for the year with small sample sizes. But I feel all these teams are average to above average mid majors. KSU is projected to lose all 3.

After the results with Rutgers and Abilene Christian, I think a 1-2 result in this MTE would be a bit disappointing, but OK. A 2-1 result would be good and give some great confidence for our conference play. The fan in me wants to say 3-0 after that Rutgers game, but I’ll stay grounded with just a little fan vision at 2-1.

All these teams have a lot more experience in their line ups, but man, after watching our guys this year, we have A LOT of talent and potential and probably higher upside than these other teams. Can’t believe I’ll be turning on basketball on Thanksgiving this year!

The games will be played in Lethbridge, Alberta. While it's Thanksgiving in the U.S., the Canadians attending won't have to leave Grandma's table early to make to the game. Canada celebrates their Thanksgiving holiday on the 2nd Monday of October.

It's hard to believe we just beat Rutgers and we are the lowest rated team in the MTE. Let's see what we can do.

Wingman Canada also lied to the native Americans and took their land?!? People told me Canadians were nice!

First up is UC Irvine, the only team I am aware of that has the mascot Anteaters. They are 5-0 having eaten 1 cupcake (presumably covered with ants) and have played no ranked teams.
Their best player is a 7’1 center from Germany named Bent Leuchten who can take is straight to the cup and pulls down over 10 boards a game.

The Owls won’t win many when they score less than 60, and shoot poorly. They need to reset for tomorrow’s game.

It's Towson tonight. They lost to Kent State 65 to 54. Let's see how they do at the pace the Owls throw at them.

We won game 2, not because we played well, but because Towson played worse and we got lucky.

The final game is against Kent State, a guaranteed win for KSU. Kent only managed 39 points Friday against UC Irvine. It will be the 3rd game in 3 nights for both teams so I hope they can manage to put on a game worth watching.

The good news is our young players are getting a ton of good experience in this MTE that I think will play dividends when we are playing CUSA opponents.

Looking at the Rankings of these the teams coming in to the MTE a 1-2 outcome might be considered OK. Looking at the games, the offense never got going for the Owls. We didn’t reach 70 points in any game and our best FG% was for a game was 37%. It’s cold in Canada and I am looking for the Owls to warm up when they return to the US.
