New coaching staff

Since Jerry Mack has been named head coach let’s start predicting who will be on his new staff. I predict that a few coaches from the current staff will stay on to help with recruiting the players from the team out of the portal and help smooth things over with the high school coaches in the state of Georgia.

I predict that the running back coach Tim glaton will stay along with DB coach ray smith. A couple of more coaches have a shot at staying on but will have to see who Jerry wants to bring in and how much his assistant pay will be. Drop any rumors you guys here on potential offensive and defensive coordinators, and position coaches

I wouldn't be surprised if Mack decided to clean house completely, but it's possible he could keep a couple guys on. It'll depend on what Bo decides to do as well. My guess is he'll go to be an analyst somewhere, though hopefully he takes some time off first. Some guys, like Burks and Klein, will probably follow along wherever he goes, though more could follow him as well. I think the analyst job makes the most sense for him, it'll give him time to reinvent his offense before trying to be a HC somewhere else.

Very interested in seeing how this shakes out, especially who we hire to be our coordinators. Hopefully our salary pool for assistant coaches has expanded and we'll be able to conjure up a legit FBS coaching staff.

The coach Bo analysis part you are correct about. I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes back to Georgia Tech to an Analyst or Associate head coach to Brent key.

The_bagman My dad was a HS coach in Georgia (still is, though he's retired), so I know how it works. And that will be the case no matter if any of Bo's assistants stay. Not saying how everything went down with Bo won't hurt recruiting, because it will (at least for a time), but players don't always in fact completely follow what their coaches tell them, and if we hire coaches who are good recruiters and can make connections, we can still get guys to come, especially local guys who want to stay close to home, of which we are blessed to have many in this area and state. Mack is gonna have to be relentless in creating connections around the state, but honestly every coach that wants to be successful has to do that. In addition, a lot of coaches don't like to keep around reminders of their predecessors and want to build up their program with their own vision. So we'll see what happens.

BurialGround very true about coaches not wanting to keep around previous coaches players But here’s the thing. The players that are currently on ksu roster are okay with the NIL Situation and they accept it. If ksu Starts having to do their best Deion Sanders, impersonation and get 30 or 40 kids out of the transfer portal that’s not gonna be good either because a lot of those kids will quit and give up once this losing starts. They will also want money to transfer to ksu and they have no money lol. On the high school end of it, I expect Coach Mack To recruit Cobb,Fulton,Dekalb and Gwinnett counties Way more than coach Bo did. Coach BO was born and raised in Middle/South Georgia So that’s why he recruited a lot of kids from that area.

We have a hire! Tennessee offensive staffer Mitch Militello to become Kennesaw State's offensive coordinator.

TheKid Just did some research on him and honestly I love the hire. He has worked with Tennessee head coach for the past decade at three different schools. He knows Tennessee offense like the back of his hand. My Only issues are he has never called plays before or been an actual position coach so might be a big learning curve there and that could take some time for him to get better at also he’s not from Georgia so will definitely have to introduce himself to the high school coaches in the area.
