Anyone know how the banana boys group that follows around the athletic programs at KSU started? I see them at softball games almost every game...even in Florida.

I watched the Cross Country CUSA championship on ESPN+. I saw some Banana Boys were in attendance at the event in Alabama. Respect!

I was a Cross Country runner (not at KSU) and I know it’s not the most interesting thing to watch. Races often have very few spectators.

Banana Boys, Kennesaw State
The fourth installment of the Beam Report of the 2023-24 season shines a spotlight on a unique phenomenon: Banana Boys. The Bananas Boys are the unofficial mascot of the Kennesaw State student section, Khaos. The group got started when one student, Matthew Bailey, decided to wear a Banana costume to a football game. From that moment on the Banana Boys have grown into a Kennesaw State Athletics staple, as they are seen at many KSU athletic events and on television.

This story explores the origins of the group and how it has become synonymous with the KSU school spirit. From their inception to being a part of the creation and rise of the student section, Khaos.
