If this Owls team was older or more regular, I'd say we're peaking at the right time after the last 2 wins. But we can very well come out and lay an egg Thursday with how Jekyll and Hyde our team has been.
Avoiding a slow start will be BIG. I feel really good about the first round match up. While we haven't shot the ball particularly well this year, especially our 3s, the last time out vs. NMSU was one of the worst shooting performances of the season. My only prediction is we win Thursday.
This team has shown it can beat the best in this league, which to me makes this tournament exciting. I'm not expecting us to win it all, but I'm also not in the boat where thinking about winning it all is an unrealistic pipe dream. We have some sort of real shot and I'm looking forward to it.
