Wingman There you have it…a team ineligible for the NCAA tourney won the ASUN championship. A team knocked out in a early round gets the bid. Seems wrong to me, gotta fix it.
bb_fan The Bellarmine athletes were robbed. Get rid of that stupid rule. Since JSU got in on a technicality and not on the court I'd ship em to Dayton.
bb_fan Buddy Boeheim hits a FSU player in the stomach with a closed fist and gets suspended by the ACC for their next game against Duke. Which he deserved.
Wingman I just looked at the story on ESPN.com Buddy punched Wyatt Wilkes whose grandfather was a long time coach at Stetson. The Glenn Wilkes court the Hatters play on was named for Wyatt granddad. So there is an ASUN connection here.
bb_fan It's about 3 years too late, but LSU finally got around to making Will Wade a strong-ass offer he couldn't refuse.
KingOwlLegacy Yamani Paul, Jodi Mullins, and Ameris Banker are transferring from WBB. Wait wait, not an Ameris Banker, it's Amaris Baker. Sorry, no more financial transactions for the Owls
Wingman Transferring worked out well for these 2 former ASUN players who started for their current teams and advanced to the second round: Noah Horchler- formerly with UNF - is now with Providence JD Notae- formerly with Jacksonville University- plays for Arkansas Both of these players scored in double figures in round 1
bb_fan We have stats for everything: Notae was rated the 29th-best “Sit-Out” Transfer in the Nation by ESPN.com for the 2020-21 season. Played HS at Newton County; we missed out on him.
bb_fan bb_fan Paging Epper... Former ASUN Conference, American Athletic Conference, Big Sky Conference, and Mid American Conference (whew) star James/Monty Scott is 19/39 (.487) from the FREE THROW line through 14 games thus far. After posting this, Scott went 13/17 (.765) the rest of the season. I'm taking credit for the turnaround. 😆
KingOwlLegacy KJ Johnson of Lipscomb has swapped to North Alabama. On a related note today, Jamari Blackmon has entered the portal
Wingman Moultrie has played at LaSalle, NCA&T and KSU. I predict that he continues his Southward migration and ends up playing in Florida.
bb_fan Signs your conference has too many teams include (1) you don't play a balanced schedule, and (2) only 10 of the 14 teams make the season ending tournament. Looking at you ASun.
