Looking to EKU, Gentlemen we may be in for a similar AP game unfortunately... They have a stud muffin @ QB (Top 10 according to FCS Radio) that runs the offense to a T. He has a a really good arm, and can get it done with his feet as well. Their O line is very similar to AP Big, lumbering, run a zone/ split zone run game. We will see that standard spread attack, a lot of motion and multiple formations with 11/10 personnel being their go to. I disagree with Coach on our D tasking a step back the guys played really hard and well even with our O putting them in bad situations as well as leaving them out there on the field for 100+ snaps. It is so tough to play solid D when you're out there all night.
Our O is probably going to see another 6-1 D why not? It has been very successful against us all year, our O has got to get it together, the O line just looks so unmotivated at times to fire off the ball and get hats to the next level. Yes the new blocking rule sucks, we have harped on it every week, but the UT game proves if they play with a little pride we can still get it done against a talented team (which EKU is especially upfront, their DB's are their biggest weakness). It all starts and stops upfront and that will decide what kind of game it is Saturday.
I worry about the motivation from the guys this weekend, however EKU will have a similar issue so even playing field there. Just gonna depend who wants it more, and if these guys actually care about having the worst record in KSU history or not.
