Did some teams we beat lose? I know VCU losing probably pushed them down.

I'd have to look at every team we've played did last night to come up with a difinitive answer (which I don't have time to do), but VCUs loss dropped them from 117 to 144 which certainly played a significant part of KSU dropping 14 places in the rankings.

Florida lost to Connecticut by 21 and dropped 65 to 79.
Campbell got beat by Evansville by 6 and dropped 174 to 196.

There is a lot of talk about computer rankings on this board, for the SDSU game, let's talk national rankings for a minute. San Diego State is currently #22 both the AP poll and Coach's poll. They are 6-2 with their only 2 losses to Arkansas (ranked #8/9) and Arizona (ranked number #9/10).

A loss to KSU would surely cause a big drop in their rankings. 😃

Only D1 games count.

So SELA's 36 point win against a D3 team, Mercer's 38 point win against a NAIA team, and ASU's 60 point win against a NAIA team doesn't mean squat. (2 on those games were Tuesday, 1 was on Wednesday. Don't recall which but since it doesn't matter not gonna look it up.)

Remember when we played D2 Paine (now NCCAA) halfway thru the conference schedule and actually trailed at halftime before rallying for a 5 point win. I guess Jimmy coached em up at halftime.

Which poll? 🙂 Right now San Diego State is 52 in the NCAA Net. In the AP and USA Today Coaches Poll they are 22 in both as of last Monday. Theres more. That will change tomorrow.

The defining win for KSU basketball is when they won the National Championship. If you're going to hold me to D1, then to me the best win is against unranked Georgia Tech. But unfortunately, the program defining game has to be Elon where we snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

chandler-wright We beat Tech because we were laser focused and we had the belief we'd win. Then after that they got cock and lost all focus and the season tanked. We had some talented players like Markeith Cummings
