Mark Bradley has jumped on the bandwagon.
There is, however, one good team in Georgia
One night after Tech fell in Louisville, Kennesaw State trailed by 17 points in Louisville and won anyway. The Owls beat Bellarmine 90-84 in double overtime Thursday. They've won eight in a row. They remain tied with Liberty atop the ASUN. They haven't cracked the Mid-Major Top 25, but they were fifth this week among teams also receiving votes.
If you haven't clicked on ESPN+ to give KSU a look, you've missed something. Amir Abdur-Rahim has built a nice squad. The Owls play fast. They share the ball. They shoot the 3. (They're 14th nationally in 3-point percentage.) They mix defenses. They start four guards and a big man. Terrell Burden, a smallish guard from Campbell, will remind you of Jared Harper, the smallish guard from Pebblebrook who led Auburn to the 2019 Final Four.
(Did I mention my daughters are alums of Campbell and Pebblebrook?)
KSU hasn't had a winning season since moving to Division I in 2005-06. It's 18-6. It can lose every game from here on and finish above .500. Prediction: It's not losing every game from here on.
