Good news: For the 3rd week in a row both Sagarin and Massey say KSU wins.
Bad news: The last 2 weeks that hasn't meant much.

Yesterday's game was just a continuation of all the issues we've had all year.

Generally bad o-line play.
Poor QB reads on option plays, and horribly inaccurate passing.
I also, for the 1st time thought Klenakis called a poor game. A few short yardage plays felt more like learning experiences over what we are practically capable of doing..

I liked the couple of series we saw from Bryson, even with the non support he got from the o-line while he was in there. If we had left Bryson in and just ran option and QB draws we could have scored 40. He is crazy fast and elusive.

Yesterday also marked the last game this year from a number of upper classmen that are being redshirted. Expect to see a bunch of freshman and new faces in the last 3 games..

All in all, just get this year done asap without injury and get ready for real football next year.

Another week and the same result.

The bad, Murphy just can't pass and the defenses know it. That alone makes it very hard to see growth in the offense. Also we had some really questionable play calling this game.

The good, Bryson looked very good in the short amount of time he played. He's simply better than Murphy and deep down I think Bohannon knows that. Bryson is so much better at making reads and just as explosive as Murphy. Kicking was also much better. It kept us in the game.

It's time to play the new guys and time to give Bryson the start. I don't buy that the coaching staff thinks Murphy is our best chance to win. I think it's more of a loyalty/seniority thing.

Some real head scratchers from Klenakis on Saturday, but tough to get into any sort of rhythm with so many negative plays and unproductive drives. The Lincoln game obviously should not be competitive but it will be a better way to see what Bo and CK want this offense to look like when they are able to push around the opponent.

The OL/QB play has been mentioned enough, but I'm not sure the defenses have a ton of respect for the WRs either. That's the position group I'm most interested in the last 3 games to see which young guys step in.

Do we know if there is anything weird about Bryson's redshirt status? Assuming he already used it last season, I really don't understand why he hasn't gotten more run for a different look throughout the season. A few more explosive plays could have swung a couple of those one-score losses where we really struggled to move the ball.

Agree with everything said. It’s time to see something different. Time to see different players. Time to see some more of this new offense. 3 games left and plenty of time to get the players, coaches and fan base fired up for what’s to come. Winning makes people forget a lot of things. Win 2 of these last 3 and there will be optimism for the future IF we do something different. Playing same players, running same plays, running same offense built around triple option players/coaches isn’t different and honestly will be a tough sell to the returning players and the fan base. Doing the same thing and expecting a different result is, well, you know the word and the definition. Bo is a smart dude. He has won a lot of games and knows ball. Time for him to lead this program into the next phase but he’s got to start now. No doubt he’s the guy that can do it. He’s already proven he knows how to start from scratch. But he’s got to get some of his young guys on the field and get them some experience. Throwing them to the “FBS wolves” next year without a taste of even the lowest level of college football experience isn’t a good plan. Will be an interesting end to this season and finally see “the plan” and if there was one. Any plan that doesn’t include opening the new offensive playbook and playing some of the FBS freshman they recruited to make the jump will be really confusing. Some coaching changes at key position groups need to happen as well. You need a different caliber player in order to make the FBS jump. You need a different caliber coaching staff as well in order to make that same jump. Nothing against most of those guys. I’m sure they are great people. It’s a business and Coach Bohannon needs to do what’s best for business.

HOOTSTATE Yep, I used the participation tracker. But there's also still not knowing the details of who already redshirted at prior schools. Was the prior redshirt an injury or not, etc. Lots of variables.
