Yet another Amir Abdur-Rahim update. The former Kennesaw State coach saw his South Florida Bulls take down Florida Atlantic, ranked No. 24 in last week's AP poll. USF has won 11 in a row. It's 17-1 since Dec. 2.

South Florida hasn't made the NCAA Tournament since 2012. It's coming off four consecutive losing seasons under Brian Gregory, once Georgia Tech's coach. From Abdur-Rahim after Sunday's victory: "This ain't the same old South Florida."

The USF fans over on their forum are discussing that. I think it's still a bit early. Plus he may stay another year for Stroud and Youngblood since they may not be able to follow him. But if AAR makes it to the tourney and wins a game, I'd say he leaves for the first p5 school that offers.

I’m trying to not look ahead after this season, but I’m a bit nervous depending how we finish this season, what our roster turnover could look like. I sure hope Pettway can keep all the guys here or fill a spot with someone better if someone leaves. Just hope we don’t see a mass exodus if players didn’t see the results they wanted this year.

Five-Star Liam McNeeley has decommitted from Indiana. Guess he saw the Owls potential when we went there and had a lead in the second half.

Selection Sunday is over, which means Portal Monday is tomorrow. No restrictions for multiple transfers and by my math the Owls are losing 4 scholarship players and bringing in 5 HS guys. So something has to give and looking to see who else may want out. Year 2 of the Pettway Era starts tomorrow.

Jamel King is the first to enter the Transfer portal.
6'7 F - avg 7.9ppg and 2.7rpg Started 11 games and averaged 21 minutes.

Not sure if he was asked about transferring or saw Sherman and the players we're bringing in and thought his playing time was going to shrink. I thought he had some great games but always felt like his best games were losing games for the Owls. Sure he'll land a good spot somewhere.

Owls seem to be even on their scholarship players now, but seeing they're out recruiting so expecting more transfers soon?

Wingman idk, if that’s the case, he’s going to be in the same boat he was at WVU with not a lot of minutes. Not sure he did enough here to show power 5 and high mid major teams he can start/ get big minutes on a tournament team.

Kmase14 The strategy I was thinking would be to try and get on one of the better teams on one of the weaker conferences like SWAC or NEC. Try to get more minutes and have a chance to make the NCAAs. I have seen players do this before.
